By now all team members all back adjusting to life in the US.  We all left a part of us in Honduras.  WOW! WHAT A TRIP!  As you can see from the reports we weren't just on a mission, but GOD'S MISSION.  We felt his grace, love, and protection moment by moment.  The team couldn't make a move without feeling the presence and power of the Holy Spirit.  AWESOME feeling.  I have had a long week readjusting to the return.  I miss the 3:30 am wakeup, 4 am breakfast, devotion and prayer with the team, and the smiles that awaited us at the building site.  YES, I miss going up and coming down the mountain everyday.  Can't wait to see how God calls us and others back to Talgucigalpita!

To the Team:  Thanks for all of you, for your christian love and encouragement.  God did assemble the best team for Honduras.  It was a blessing to see our young women and men instruct the children at VBS.  The success of the Ladies Bible Study and he relationships started by the labor of the building.  You are the best....GOD BLESS.  Larry

Hola!!

What can I say....we did lay more block!!  We did have a nice breeze durring the day that the Lord provided for us. The final day of VBS was a great success! Another 69 kids.  The women held another Bible study today.  They were planning on five women to come, but twelve came instead.  Praise the Lord for such a success on both of those fronts.  On the church building front... We got a lot more block installed.  We now are at the head heights of all the windows and doors.  Which means we are at the point to pour concrete window headers. We got one formed and ready to pour.  Praise the Lord for all the accomplishments of the work days.

We came back to the hotel, showered and got ready for our final dinner at the hotel.  We had breakfast for dinner. Omlets for all...with tortillas of course and beans.  Josh King was then suprised by a birthday cake after dinner decorated to the hilt Honduran style.  No pictures of the cake it was eaten rather quickly.

We went over the movements of the next few days and sent the team pack their belongings up.

Soooo... here are the movements of the next few days:

We are at the church site tomorrow as usual. When we leave we will be going directly to Tegucigalpa.  We will check in our new hotel and get cleaned up with HOT water, I hope. We will then go out to dinner El Patio for some good Honduran food.  Then the next morning, breakfast, not at 4:00 am, and off to Valle of the Angles for some sight seeing, lunch, and plain R&R.  We will then head back to the capital for dinner, Chineese (YES in Honduras too), Then ladies and gentlemen, on Sunday we will be on a plane in the late morning for home.  We will probably not be able to post again, so be in prayer for our upcoming days.  Lots of movements and changes.  Everyone is in happy spirits and healthy.  See you all soon.  God Bless.

Praise the Lord!  Today was a fantastic day.  YES! We did lay more block.  We have all 4 sides set installed half the way up.  The VBS was another great success! We had a turn out of 63 kids today.  Continue to pray for the program as tomorrow is the final day in the series.  Today was the first day of the womens bible study.  They had a turn out of 8 women. They have another study set for tomorrow as well.  Tomorrow we will be going up higher on the block walls on the front of the church. We would like to post more pictures tonight, but we are having an internet problem tonight due to the rains in the afternoon.  We are all in great health, and spirits.  We do miss everyone at home, but the heat, church site, and people are growing on all of us.  Adios from Honduras.

Today we were up by 3:45am and into our breakfast and devotions by 4:00am.  We were then on the road by 4:30 am to the new church site.  It was a beautiful site to see the sun come up over the mountains as we were well into work on the new church.  We had people getting sand, mixing mortar, pulling up tarps, setting up our portable bathrooms, and YES putting up more block on the front wall of the church.  We made a cornerstone for the church.  We had each team member write some verses that were close to there heart on a piece of paper and we placed all of them in bag and set it in stone under the the cornerstone that we made.  How exciting it was to be working on the church again with a large group of kids in a VBS program.  There was music, laughter, excitment, and a smile everywhere.  People are constantly stopping and watching or coming up to take a look around.  We have a steady few of locals that always show up to help throughout the day.  Praise the Lord that everyone is in great health and happy spirits.  Tomorrow will be a day of YES more concrete block, but we will also have another VBS session and we will be starting a Womens study group.  Continue to be in prayer for the team.

God bless you all, and good night.

We started the walls today.  Very mild and overcast day, which meant cooler temps.  It was a welcome relief to all.  The team is up at 3:30 am everday.  So parents, now you know they can get up early.  We have devotion, prayer, breakfast and are on site by 6 am.  We had a short prayer and praise service when the very first block was placed into position.  Plenty of pictures and video were shot.  Seeing the walls come out of the ground gave everyone including the locals extra energy.  To the point folks just kept drinking plenty of water, taking frequent breaks, and continuing to work.  We didn´t clean up and begin to leave site until after 3 pm.

VBS was a hit.  The Pastor announced it at church on Sunday and 45 children came.  Several parents came to see what we were doing. They would just sit and watch us work.

Tommorrow will be much of the same today.  We anticipate 60 children.  We are preparing adidional material and songs.

No illness to report.  All are eating, drinking, and sleeping well.

Signing off from Honduras.....

SUNDAY A DAY OF REST.  THE TEAM HAD AN ALL AMERICAN BREAKFAST.  WE LEFT FOR THE SITE.  THIS WAS THE VERY FIRST SERVICE AT THE SITE.  MELVIN, THE PASTOR, SAID 15 TO 20 REGULARLY ATTEND.  PRAISE GOD OVER 45 ATTENDED AND FOLKS WERE STILL COMING AFTER HE STARTED THE SERVICE.  HMMMMM, SOUNDS LIKE PBC.  THE AFTERNOON WAS SPENT ON TIGER ISLAND.  ALL WERE TREATED TO A BEAUTIFUL BOAT RIDE AND GREAT VIEWS OF THE PACIFIC OCEAN.  THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT.  WE ARRIVE BACK AT THE HOTEL 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO SUPPER.  YES, THE FOOD IS ENDLESS.

TOMORROW THE WALLS GO AND VBS STARTS.  PRAY FOR OPPORTUNITIES TO SHARE CHRIST WITH ALL INVOLVED.  WE COULD HAVE UP TO 40 ATTENDING.

CHECK OUT THE PICTURES..... ALL ARE WELL AND SEND THERE LOVE.

GOOD NIGHT AND GOD BLESS!

Good Evening from San Lorenzo Honduras!!

We got started with breakfast and devotions at 4:00 am.  We were on the road by 4:30am and at the site ready to work by 5:15.  The day was just breaking.  We enjoyed a beautiful ride to the site as the sun was coming up over the mountains. We started with an opeing prayer and got all the materials and supplies out and set up in a flash. Today we accomplished pouring all the concrete footers, and getting all but three of the steel columns in the ground.  We are ready to start the block walls.  We have had a lot of interaction with the locals of Tegucigalpita.  They are a joy to be around and are extremely hard working.  The kids are excited for VBS to start on Monday.  Today we got back to our lodging about 4:00pm and enjoyed a nice cola and dinner.  As I write this most of the team is in bed.  It is not even 9:00pm. Tomorrow we will be going to church in Tegucigalpita and then a day of rest.  We will be visiting Isle de Tigre.  Please pray for the music team.  They will be providing music at the church service.  The Church never has had musical instruments to sing with.  Pray for the kick off to the VBS program starting Monday at 12:30pm.  Everyone is very healthy, happy, but a little tired by the end of the day.  As you can see in the picture on the ride home.  Thanks for the prayers.  Keep them up.
