Purcellville Baptist Church, children are to receive the special attention Jesus would encourage us with when He said "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these." (Mark 10:13) We feel privileged to work with your children.
Grace Place offers a full morning of activities for children each Sunday. Every child is made differently and we strive to reach children according to their learning style. We hope the relationships your child forms with their peers and leaders allow them to experience God's love in ways they can understand.
We pray your children will love Jesus and others more because of their time with us!
Our Mission is to...
Share Christ with every child as we Connect with them, Grow them in their Bible Knowledge and lead them to Serve others.
The Grace Place Elementary program presents the gospel in an interactive, creative way so children will be able to apply Bible truths learned to their life. In Grace Place, children learn about God through relationships with the leaders and each other; and are challenged to express to others their love of Christ.
Format
We use a Big Group/Small Group format to enhance your child's learning experience.
Your kids will enter their room and locate their Small Group table. Small groups are divided by grade and gender, such that the 2nd Grade Boys meet together, the 3rd Grade Girls meet together, etc. This way kids are most comfortable learning and sharing with their peers.
After intial opening activities with their small group, the kids will be led through a Big Group session that includes Worship, a Memory Verse, the Main Point, and Bible Lesson. These are done through, videos, media, puppets, and skits to enhance your childs learning experience.
Once Big Group is finished - Small Group time begins. The Memory Verse, Main Point and Bible Lessson are re-emphasized during this time. Activites and discussion highlight the Small Group time so your child can learn and remember each weeks lesson.
Family Take-Home Page
Parents will be emailed each weeks take home page. This contains age appropriate activities including the week's Bible point, verse, and questions for discussion at home.
Security
Because children at this age are gaining more and more independence, we do not require the use of security wristbands as in all other areas of Children's Ministry.
Children may be dropped off at their room and we ask parents come to the room to pick up their children and their guests when the service ends. We do not allow children to leave the ministry area without a parent or adult guardian.
All of our leaders have completed an extensive application and have been through a screening process.
