Music Ministry

Welcome to the PBC Music Ministry! Our music ministry strives to glorify the Lord, encourage one another and lead God’s people with vibrant, exciting worship in a variety of styles and formats.

With opportunities for nearly all ages and abilities, there’s always a place for anyone who’s interested in serving and growing in music or technology. Although you may see a full band each Sunday morning we’re always looking for more and this holds true for all our ensembles! Check out these four exciting areas for worship opportunities.

HizKidz Choir – Fun for Young Voices!

Our HizKidz Choir is a blast for children in 2nd through 6th grade! Children are nurtured in a safe, friendly and exciting environment learning to sing a mix of contemporary praise favorites as well as special selections just right for young voices. Under the energetic leadership of Carrie Geiger the choir sings in both the adult worship service as well as the HizKidz services approximately 1 to 2 times per month. Rehearsals for the Spring semester are Wednesday from 4:15 to 5:00pm in the church sanctuary. For more information contact Carrie Geiger.

Adult Choir – Singing great praise favorites and classics!

The Adult Choir features mature singers from high school and up and performs 1 to 2 times per month as part of the adult worship service in the tabernacle in addition to special services and community opportunities. Whether you’ve been singing for just a little while or can back up your favorite opera singer, we’ve got a place for you. The choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings  in room 208 from 7:00pm to 8:30pm in the church sanctuary. For more information contact Rod Appleton.

Sight and Sound – Go Behind the Scenes!

If you have a technological bent and a good eye and ear, PBC’s Sight and Sound team might be just the place for you. Our technologists bring our service to life, enhancing our worship by enabling the best possible view and listening experience so everyone can participate to their fullest. Each and every Sunday, our Sight and Sound volunteers run our iMAG camera, our video mixer, light mixer, sound board, and more. For more information contact Dave Vogele.

Praise Band – Contemporary blended worship for all instruments!

Our two worship teams bring Sunday morning worship to life with a cutting-edge mix of contemporary favorites as well as classic hymns of faith set in a contemporary style. We welcome seasoned solo vocalist as well as strong instrumentalists of all types with a commitment of two weeks out of every month and rehearsals from 7:15 to 9:00pm Tuesday evenings (also twice per month). In addition to Sunday services we also do auxiliary events for the church and community – we’ve even had a float in the Purcellville 4th of July parade!
