In 1995 Pam and I came to a wonderful little church in the heart of Purcellville. We instantly fell in love with this town and its people. When you drive into Purcellville for the first time, you feel like you’re coming home. This town is our home. Its people are our family. We love our neighborhood, appreciate our schools, admire our civic leaders, enjoy our parades and community events, and adore our church family. I’d like you to meet my family.
Pam, my lovely bride, is my best friend. She loves gardening, taking walks, the beach, and playing Sequence. She’s great with people, has gorgeous eyes and a smile that’s just as beautiful. I can’t imagine life without her.
Joshua, our oldest child, enjoys reading fiction and watching action movies. In many subjects, he already knows more than his dad. He also enjoys hanging out with the youth group and spending time with his friends. He’ll be learning to drive this year—God have mercy!
Jonathan, our middle son, knows no stranger. His mischievous smile can disarm just about anybody. He loves basketball, air-soft, video games and our church’s youth group. He’d live outdoors if we’d let him.
Suzy-Q, our youngest, is daddy’s little girl. She has a tender heart and a charming personality. She loves singing, helping with toddlers and the Father-Daughter Valentine’s Dance. She’ll be allowed to date when she’s 40.
David, (That’s me!) loves board games, running, music, people and what I do for a living. Seriously, I love my job! Sunday is my favorite day of the week. God is the best boss to work for. Serving you is the greatest calling imaginable.
Oh! I almost forgot Toto—our pet Cairn Terrier. He’s the greatest dog in our neighborhood in my unbiased opinion.
When you visit our church, be sure to come by and say, “Hello.” I'd like to put a face with your name so that I can pray more personally for you and your family.
Little did we know what God had in store for us fourteen years ago. Since being called to Purcellville, the town has nearly tripled in size without losing its charm. Our church has mushroomed from 50 to 1,000 in worship, children and youth. We have seen hundreds of changed lives! We can hardly wait to see what God will do next!
