Our Father’s Cradle Remembrance Event
One in four women will experience pregnancy loss (commonly referred to as miscarriage), and yet, it’s something rarely talked about – even among communities of believers. We know life begins at conception, but our society often tells us not to announce a pregnancy until “it’s safe.” This creates a stigma and a culture of shame, guilt, and leaves couples and families to grieve in silence.
A new ministry, Our Father’s Cradle, provides comfort and spiritual support to women and families who have lost a child during pregnancy, infancy, or delivery. On Tuesday, October 15th, we will be hosting our first Remembrance Event from 5:30-7:30pm. This will be a beautiful celebration of life, as our PBC community, and the greater community, come together for an evening of prayer, reflection, and community.
Participants will have an opportunity to have their baby’s name or family name on an illuminated lantern. Lanterns will be placed along a lit path on the back lawn of the church where attendees will be invited to join in a guided prayer walk.
Registration is free and light refreshments will be served, so please invite your friends and family to join us.
October 15th is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day, so let’s come together as a church family to comfort, support, and remember all the babies in heaven resting in the Father’s cradle.
