FAMILY ADVOCACY WOVEN
Woven is a Family Advocacy Ministry, with the mission of living out the Gospel by supporting vulnerable biological, kinship, foster and adoptive families and children. Our goal is to facilitate relational ministry and ensure that children impacted by foster care and/or adoption are loved and supported. We accomplish this mission through Care Communities, a Care Portal, Support Groups, Adoption Grants, and Local Partnerships.
Care Communities
Care Communities are team of 4-8 volunteers who provide practical and relational support to families involved in child welfare in some capacity. Teams consist of family helpers bringing a meal once a month, a child mentor assisting with childcare monthly so parents can invest in their marriage, a team leader and other supportive roles.
Care Portal
Care Portal allows local agencies serving vulnerable children to connect families directly with local churches. When you join the Response Team, you’re given opportunities to meet physical needs, like dropping off a box of diapers or a bag of groceries, while showing the love of Christ to people who don’t have community and connecting them to our church.
Support Group
Our support group is a place for families to connect, pray and encourage one another. Might include a book study, or just sharing time.
ADOPTING? ADOPTION GRANT
If you have a complete homestudy and are in the process of adopting, you can apply for a grant.
